There are missions in need and ‘we are the village’. Glenn Memorial has a long-standing history of dedicated work with missions near and far. Examples: Locally, Intown Cares where we volunteer to help distribute food weekly, we contribute with our Souper Bowl Sunday to help restock their shelves, provide hygiene kits for unhoused neighbors and we are a part of a group of ministries that donate funds to support finding homes, food and services for the homeless.
We work with global ministries and missionaries, in Cambodia, Zimbabwe and support our missionary in Ecuador as well. Locally, we prepare care packages for young adults coming out of foster care with Wellroot Family Services, and ‘meals to go’ for hungry folks with Trinity Table. We have established a Care Closet to hold canned goods and more, maintain a Maternity closet for those expecting who are in need of clothing and supplies. Glenn provides food and support for Lost-n-Found Youth and makes prayer shawls for those who need to be held up in prayer and comforted by the warm embrace of a shawl made specifically for them.
