Christmas Eve service

Candlelight Service - 5:00 PM

A community favorite for over thirty years, this service portrays the Christmas story in drama and song, with angels, shepherds, wise men, and the Holy Family.  During the service, all children are invited to come sing "Away in a Manger" to the Baby Jesus.

A carol sing begins at 4:30.  Arrive early for the best seating. Childcare is available during this service for children ages 6 weeks through 4 years old.

Candlelight Communion - 11:00 PM

Pre-service music by the Glenn Chamber Choir and Emory University organist Dr. Timothy Albrecht begins at 10:30.  This service includes a Christmas Eve meditation by Dr. Jones and ends with candlelighting as the congregation sings "Silent Night" to the accompaniment of a single guitar, as it was when it was sung for the first time in 1818.
