Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at Glenn Memorial UMC is open to youth in grades 6-12. We offer youth a place to learn about God, develop and grow a meaningful relationship with Christ, worship, hang out with friends and make new friends, go on powerful mission trips, and spend time on awesome retreats. There is no need to register or be a member of the church... simply show up. We would love to have you.

This year, Glenn’s UMYF will be focused on the theme of what it means to be “CALLED.” All of us have certain gifts, talents, and passions…but we don’t always realize that they are given to us by God to be used for a purpose. In every aspect of our lives—school, sports, family, friends, church, work, play—God is calling us to use our gifts, talents, and passions for God’s glory. We invite you to come this year and find out who God is calling you to be.

Confirmation at Glenn

Confirmation is an exciting and important time in the life of a Christian. The class is for youth who are in sixth grade or older who desire to grow in their relationship with Christ and become an active member in the church.

Being part of a confirmation class gives you a chance to study and ask questions about our Christian faith, the United Methodist Church and what it means to be a member.  Participating in the confirmation class does not mean you must make a commitment to join the church at this time. However, if you choose to be part of this year’s confirmation process, you must make a commitment now to participate in all the activities which include: individual and group study, Sunday School, worship, a retreat, service events and sharing with your Friend in Faith.

It's not too late to be part of the '10-'11 Confirmation process. Just complete the Confirmation Information Sheet found here and return it to the Church Office or the Youth Director's Office, and one of the youth ministers will contact you.
