Service at Glenn
Jesus calls all of his followers to love God and to love neighbor through humble service. At Glenn there is a wide variety of ways to get involved in both local and international volunteer service. These opportunities and activities are open to everyone - many including children. So consider yourself needed, invited, and welcome!

Monthly Days of Service
In 2017, the Service Teams at Glenn are trying something new - intentional monthly days of service. Open to all ages, we hope these service offerings remind us to always be engaged in working on behalf of others in our midst:
February Day of Service: Workday at the New Roots Garden with the Environmental Committee
Saturday, February 25, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the garden near North DeKalb Mall
Do you want to get out and dig in the dirt? Do your children need service hours? The New Roots Community Garden is a project led and run by the International Rescue Committee. All ages are welcome to join in support of the work they do with refugees in Atlanta. Wear work boots and gloves, and bring a snack and a water bottle. RSVP to Lynn Speno.
March Day of Service: Workday at the IRC Resettlement Store
Saturday, March 25, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
The third event in our Year of Service maintains a focus on caring for refugees in our community. All are ages are welcome to help as we organize and manage donations in the resettlement store, a place where refugee families can shop for needed items for free. RSVP with Albert Sheffer.
