Please join us! There’s a first time for everything, and questions are a normal and natural part of any new experience. The information below might be helpful to know before your first visit.

Where is Glenn?

Glenn Memorial Church is located in the historic Druid Hills neighborhood on Emory University’s campus, about seven miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. We are about three miles from downtown Decatur and about two miles from the Virginia Highlands neighborhood.

1660 N. Decatur Rd.
Atlanta, Georgia 30307

Note: The address for our Glenn Youth and Activities across the street is:

1669 N. Decatur Rd.
Atlanta, Georgia 30307

What time are services and where are they held?

We offer traditional worship services at 8:30am in the Little Chapel (Church School Building) and at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary and modern worship at The Gathering at 5:00 p.m. in the Ward Fellowship Hall (Church School Building), as well as online worship (find our Livestream HERE). All buildings are handicap accessible with ramp access and elevators.

Do I have to be a member to participate in worship?

Our services are open to everyone. All of God’s children are welcome to participate in our ministries and programs, receive the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, and become members of the congregation.

Where should I park?

Since we are located on a university campus, our parking is a bit different. Ample parking is available at no charge in Emory’s Fishburne Parking Deck next to the Church School Building on weekdays after 5:00 p.m and all day on weekends. Parking is permitted along North Decatur Road on Sundays until 5:00 p.m. Spaces are also available behind our Youth and Activities Building (1669 N. Decatur Rd) across the street. Parking for guests with walking difficulties is located along the driveway between the Sanctuary and the Church School Building.

What else happens on Sundays?

We offer numerous Sunday School classes and small groups for all ages and interests, from children, youth, to adults.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. There’s no dress code at Glenn. You will see people in their Sunday best and those in more casual clothing. Wear what makes you comfortable.

What about my children?

Children are wanted and welcomed in all services at Glenn and children's bulletins are available in worship. Optional childcare for infants through Kindergarteners is available in the Church School Building. If your infant or small child needs care during the service, there is a comfort room located downstairs at the back of the Sanctuary and rocking chairs available. We invite you to learn more about our children's ministries and our Child Protection Policy.

What if I haven’t been to church in a long time or never before?

Don’t let that keep you away. There was a first Sunday for all of us. An usher will give you a bulletin that outlines what happens during the service. Join in on the parts of the service you feel comfortable with, or just sit, watch and listen if you prefer. Feel free to reach out to any of our pastors or staff before or after you visit Glenn!

What if I still have more questions?

That’s why we’re here. We’ll be happy to arrange a phone conversation with one of the pastors. Or perhaps you’d like to meet for breakfast, lunch, or a coffee break. Contact the church office at 404.634.3936 or if you’d prefer, email your question to the pastor of your choosing. We’re here to be helpful in any way we can!
