ConfirmationGreetings to the youth and parents of our upcoming 6th grade class! I am so excited to welcome you into Glenn Memorial’s Youth Ministry. The transition to 6th grade is exciting and may be a little intimidating, too. This year, confirmation will be a two year process and commitment. All youth who are entering sixth grade and older who desire to explore their faith, grow in their relationship with Christ, and get involved in United Methodist Youth Fellowship are invited to join! Our two year structure is set up to first help youth assimilate into youth group. This first year will intentionally focus on fellowship and integrating youth into UMYF. Confirmands will be paired with high school youth who will be “Big Brothers and Sisters” and who have committed to help their younger “Brother and Sisters” feel comfortable and engaged at UMYF. Further, these Big Brothers and Sisters will be present to provide support, friendship, and fun. The second year, we will focus on exploring our United Methodist heritage and understanding and practicing faithful Christian discipleship. Members of the congregation will be involved as “Friends-in-Faith,” walking along side Confirmands to provide a broader scope of congregational support. If you would like to sign up for Confirmation, please fill out this form and return it to the church.
